Dartmoor with no sheep ?

It’s a sad and lonely time when all the sheep have been taken in and “Put to the Ram”. No fluffy white dots in hard to reach places.

This is how Storm Callum looks on Dartmoor today

Storm Callum is passing by, it’s a noisey storm, very wet and we have had some of our shed roof covering blow off. The cattle are standing under the trees and the sheep are still feeding as usual… Amazing. The rain is horizontal as per Dartmoor usual, it is much better to watch it than…

Exciting News:- Permission Granted

We started clearing  wild rhodedendron and scrub twenty three months ago to enable initial surveying to commence. Now we have just  receieved full planning permission to carry out rest of the work including the much needed extended entrance with space for drying coats and boots,  a fully accessible shower room and a new garden room…

Good News, Bad News

The really good news is that we still have plenty of weekdays still free for booking. The bad news is that there are only 3 weekends still available. They are May 11-13. July  20-23.  October 26-28  

Jurra the dog has the right idea

With a Red Snow alert in place we have decided to cancell this Saturdays work Party. Like Jurra we are all going to stay indoors. Work starts again on Monday folks. ( sorry we are not there for a new snow picture today) #bernardsacre.  #visitdartmoor. #belstonevillage
